Planning Your Journey

Getting Here

Bulawayo is Zimbabwe's second largest city and Tafadzwa's childhood home. Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport (BUQ) serves the region with domestic and regional flights. From Bulawayo, Matopos is roughly a 45-minute drive, we are working with the lodges to provide transportation for our guests.

By Air

Fly into Bulawayo (BUQ) — When flying from North America it is suggested to get round trip flights to and from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo (JNB) for best rates. There are seldom roundtrip options to Bulawayo and prices jump significantly. Then it is recommended to take a regional flight into Bulawayo with either Airlink or fastjet. There are numerous direct flight options to Johannesburg from major US cities. Many airlines also route layovers through Europe or the Middles East with a final destination of Johannesburg.

By Road

Matopos is 45 min from Bulawayo by road. Shared guest transfers will be arranged for confirmed RSVPs.

When to Arrive

We recommend arriving by Saturday morning April 3rd to settle in before the Welcome Braai kicks off later that afternoon.
